KPI - Key Performance Index
Through different stages of life, we need to have KPI's as a measure on how we are achieving our goals. When flying on Qantas, I had the opportunity to watch a movie called Robot & Frank. This movie has inspired me to relate to how retirement and dementia are correlated.
As older people retire from their day jobs, some will find other interests, others will just wonder through their rest of their life without any goals and without any focus and intellectual activity, their brains will start to fall into dementia.
In every stages of life, in every activities we do, we need to have goals and measures in order for us to track our own progress into achieving them. It also provide us with constant feedback on how we are doing and possibly change the ways we approach an issue to achieve our goals quicker (continuous improvements).
